Duty Calls

You're somewhere far away doing what you must
we are left behind and told to be strong
They say go whether is right or wrong
duty calls

The children don't truly understand
they just know that daddy's off again
duty calls

commitments made to company, unit and brigade
after all you're being all you can be
Family falls somewhere in between
and sometimes it just falls
duty calls

Your loyalty to this great red white and blue make us proud
but in our selfish ways we just want to be with you but...
duty calls

Take time tonight to think of us and hurry safely back
We are waiting here to make memories
so we can keep part of you the next time
duty calls
