Life Lesson Poem

Everyone Has Lessons To Learn

I'm 22 years old. I recently lost my job, my girlfriend, and lately my will to keep going. I write to reflect and just give myself hope. My poem isn't long, but it has meaning.

Same, life can be very hard. I know, but one thing to remember is to never give up no matter how hard it gets. Life will get better; I can assure you of that.

There's beauty in struggle,
There's feeling in pain.
For every painstaking mistake,
There are lessons you can name.

No one is excluded
From life's many trials,
Not even a scrape on the knee
From an innocent child.

It's true, most lessons do hurt.
Some more than others,
Some short and temporary,
Some smothering with suffering.

Some beautiful with love,
Like a baby and mother.
Some are a constant battle,
Like sister and brother.

There are lessons we must learn
About how to love one another.

Well, my goodness!! You job and/or your girlfriend are not worth you!! Just remember that! You can find a new job; start looking, and you will find another girl. There is sometimes pain in life and loving, but it will get better, just don't sit around and feel sorry for yourself. Get moving and prove to yourself tomorrow is a new, better day. Things happen for a reason, and sometimes for the best. You just can't see it right now. I loved your poem. You know what life is about; now go live it.
