41. Autumn Poem
Autumn mornings,
Foggy and wet;
Dewy grass -
With diamonds beset.

With diamonds beset.

Leaves, Autumn's snowflakes
Yellow and red paint the ground
Trees are trimmed in gold
Pushed by the whispering winds

I love the lengthening shades of day
As autumn brushes summer away.
When spiders appear from everywhere,
Their sticky webs snagging my face and hair.
Famous Poem
It is October, and the glory of the year
Is in the skies and on the woods extended far and near;
It glows in burnish'd clouds, it flushes all the air;
It lies in hollow vales, in uplands brown and bare.
Autumn leaves dance gaily around,
they swirl in a haze towards the ground.
Auburns, golds, russets, too,
offering different shapes, differing hues.
