Love Poem about Marriage

Poem On The Symbolism Of Wedding Bands

I wrote this poem after my husband and I were married. How special and sacred marriage is, and how many people take it much too lightly.

I think it's a wonderful poem. I can relate it with my own marriage. Not to mention we have some close friends Matt & Heather S.

It's a symbol of everlasting love,
A symbol of forces bigger than us from up above.
One's undying commitment and trust in another,
A special bond that never gives up hope or faith in the other.
We wear it to show our loyalty and to let others know we are taken.
This little band with a huge message that's never meant to be forsaken.
It's a kiss or a hug at the end of a long day,
It's a sympathetic heart when there is no longer anything to say.
It's a standard that has come unglued in the previous years,
A word taken to loosely - a huge commitment taken so lightly it now appears,
But for the lucky few, we take this commitment very serious.
We know everything about our partner - nothing is held in or mysterious.
We care for our "better half" in ways we never thought we could.
Dream big things together - things we never thought we would.
We are in fact better with our other half.
They are what make life worth it - the things that make us smile and laugh.
In a cold world, it's nice to be able to look down
and remember that special day in your tux or wedding gown.
It's amazing what a gold band on your left index finger can mean.
It's not really about the beginning or end - it's about all the memories in between.
One life shared together.

To me it's September 9, 2007

This is a story about my love to my husband, I love him whole heartedly, we are young but we know how to treat each other. Yes, there are ups and downs but we know how to handle them
Communication is the key to our happy marriage, we love each other, I'm 26 and he is 27. I love him and his spot will never be replaced, he hold the key to my heart and I value him so high, he is the man I asked God for.
He is always there for me, since 2011 until this date, I'm glad that we are called husband and wife, because marriage is the intimate union and equal partnership of a man and woman, it comes to us from hand of God who created male and female in his image so that they might become one body.
I love you WANDA BHUNGENI (hubby) whole heartedly
Your wife
