Teen Short Love Poem

Poem About Needing A Person's Love

I grew up in Glendale, Arizona. This poem I wrote was about a guy I loved so much. His name was AJ, and he was murdered right in front of me and my other friend, JD, on Thanksgiving in 2007.

I need your arms around me
I need to feel your touch
I need your understanding
I need your love so much
To think I held you yesterday
Your love is just a game
I am a candlewick
You've just blown out my flame

I look deep into his eyes as I lie under his arms. Sweet it was, but bitter smiles he gave. Still the love I have is growing, wondering when it will wither. Curse the fake love you always show. I cannot leave because he is sweet as honey, innocent as a baby, chilled as ice. Forever I will love you, and forever he will not.

From the moment I held you, what I felt was true,
And now that you're gone I'm left feeling blue.
And the harsh truth is I can't find someone new 'cause I'm constantly thinking of you,
and what you mean to me, what WE used to be.
I loved you and still do and now that like the summer season your love has come to an end you're really expecting us to be friends?

I really care about you, and all the times I have with you is really a blessing. I love you, and I shall always be there for you.
