Never Knew

I never understood
the people who said,
I found my true love,
and it's never gonna fade.
I always thought
that there was no such thing.
Then I looked in your eyes
and knew,
just knew,
that you were the one.
You smile at me
in such a special way.
You never forget to tell me
you love me every day.
Could it be true?
Could this love be ours?
To treasure in our hearts?
To hold dearly?
Well, I don’t know,
but it's been a year,
and it's still going strong.
Now I can't sleep
without hearing your voice.
It's like a song;
it calls to me,
and then I know it's all right!
