Our American Bald Eagle stands bold and proud
Representing our nation's liberty,
Soaring effortlessly above the shores
Peering down at the majestic sea.

Its wings caress the perpetual clouds
As it peers bravely to the earth,
It gracefully adorns the lulling wind
Proudly brag our nation's birth.

Its eyes are golden as the earth's mother lode
And gaze upon the mountain peaks,
Keen and brilliant is its brow
Standing firm it seems to speak.

Its tail is broad and fans the wind
Like a rudder, it gracefully flows,
Feathers spread to take their leave
Soon to branch it will repose.

The Eagles are large, amazing birds. While watching them you see a lot of funny things happen. We were fishing at Lake Shasta one year and sitting out on the houseboat deck while fishing, a huge eagle came down and swooped up a trout and turned up toward the sky when no sooner did he have the fish when another huge eagle came by real fast and grabbed it out of his mouth and flew away with the trout leaving the one that caught the fish with nothing. Fun and amazing to watch the sights of nature.
