Standing Your Ground In Turbulent Times

It has never been harder to find the truth, or to remain true to it. Our own inner voice is often drowned out in the storm, and the one who shouts loudest is the one who is heard. This poem is a reminder to me of how not to be swept away by the madness. I hope I can live by it! I hope it resonates with you too. Thank you for reading.

In these days of chaos and doubt,
Don't listen to the loudest shout.
Listen to the whisper within.

Don't buy the lie they tout.
Don't listen to them shout.
Listen to the whisper within.

Reject the agenda.
Swim against the stream.
Stand on your own.
Don't listen to them shout.
Listen to the whisper within.

So the emperor 'has new clothes' -
But you can see his naked skin?
Don't listen to them shout.
Listen to the whisper within.

Better to stand alone than sell your soul.
Stand firm.
Don't listen to them shout.
Listen to the whisper within.
