  7. 25. A Family

My name is Patricia, and I am the eighth of nine children. My parents taught us growing up that God and family are there for you when no one else is. As a result of our upbringing, we are a very close knit family. My family has stood by my side through the good times and the bad, as I have been there for them. Without their support I am not sure I would be where I am today. My family is comprised of not only my parents, brothers and sisters, but also my true and loyal friends.

    • By Patricia Biddle
    • Published: March 2012 by Family Friend Poems with the permission of the Author.

F - Fiercely loyal to those we love.
A - Accepting each for who and what they are.
M - Matchless in our hopes and dreams for one another.
I - Instilling pride in our hard-fought heritage.

  10. 28. A Strong Bond

I am 12 years old and always have had a passion for writing. I have had a very difficult life. I was in an orphanage for 9 months and taken from my mother at birth. I have something called reactive attachment disorder, which was caused when I was separated from my mother. I have been through therapy and I am finally finding my voice and being proud of who I am. I have a more normal life now and I am truly thankful for the people in my life who helped make that happen.

    They live a little stronger,
