I didn't shave this morning,
Didn't comb my hair.
Splashed some water on my face
And stumbled down the stair.
Faced another dreary dawning
In my underwear.
Had a beer for breakfast
Damn, I just don't care,
For I'm in league with the insane.
I'm back in goblin mode again.
I didn't look my best today,
More like the missing link.
Didn't wash the pile of dishes
In the kitchen sink.
Left my laundry on the floor,
I poured another drink.
I'm flat out on the sofa now,
So, sod what people think.
Today I feel no stress or strain.
I'm back in goblin mode again.
Tomorrow back in working mode
I'll be resurrected.
Neatly groomed and smartly dressed
As will be expected.
Conforming to the social norm,
No nicety neglected.
But no-one has the slightest clue,
My secret's, well protected;
That should I suffer overload,
Then I'll regress to goblin mode.
And I don't care if you complain.
I'm back in goblin mode again.
