Christmas And Loved Ones

When we lose someone very close, it's then that we realize the greatest gifts at Christmas are love and loved ones.

I really loved this poem. What I love about this poem is its simplicity of what a true gift from the heart is all about. It’s just like Jesus was the gift of love to all the world from God,...

It's not all about presents
Laying under the tree.
Trinkets made of gold
Mean nothing to me.

It's not all about money.
What joy can it bring?
It's being wanted and loved,
Not material things.

Possessions can't hug you
Or give you a kiss.
Christmas with loved ones
Is what I miss.

Christmas presents are just temporary.
Their joy is short lived.
Only love and loved ones
Are the greatest of gifts.

This poem was so good. I can't even explain in words how much I like it. The good people were our real Christmas gifts. Without them, we wouldn't know a certain thing. Before they passed away, they changed the world in many ways. We should be thankful for them because they were our lifesavers. An amazing poem.

Thank you, Animal R Lover. Without the ones you love, Christmas is sadly just another day. I no longer need presents; I just make do with the memories.

I really loved this poem. What I love about this poem is its simplicity of what a true gift from the heart is all about. It’s just like Jesus was the gift of love to all the world from God, not gold, not bought but given out of love, a gift that lasts eternally. I just love this Christmas poem. It says it all.

Thank you, Patricia. Sadly, it seems Santa is more popular than Jesus now days. It’s become big business. It’s more about money than love.
