Love Poem about Marriage

Taking Time For Each Other

It's becoming far too easy to fill up our schedules and not make enough time for each other and (re)connection. This poem is a reminder for me to slow down and be intentionally focused on what matters most... even if it's just for one night.

Just For Tonight

Just for tonight
Let's press pause on life
Turn off our phones
And light a candle

Just for tonight
Let's clear our minds
Focus only on each other
Sharing openly, listening intently

Just for tonight
Let's remember how to play
Be a little mischievous
And overly silly

Just for tonight
Let's shut out the world
Open our hearts
And reconnect

Just for tonight
Let's recall our "I do's"
And take just a moment
To reflect on "We have..."

Just for tonight
Let's make time
To cuddle
To smile
To cry
To laugh
To be

Just for tonight.
