In Memory Poem

I was asked to write something special for a soldier whose anniversary of death is July 16th. May the world always remember young Nicholas A Taylor. Someone's son, someone's friend, a soul greatly missed.

Remember A Soldier Today

He marches in God's army now but once
upon a time,
With valor he fought long and proud
our freedom on his mind.
Leaving loved ones far behind he treaded
foreign land,
Defending peace and liberty
an honorable young man.
The world may never know him
or the sacrifice he made,
So I ask you take a moment
and remember a soldier today.

ABOUT THE POET:

I am from a family of writers. My grandfather was a published poet. He taught me to write as a young girl. He opened up the world of poetry to me. What a sweet release it is to take those thoughts from the secret part of your soul and put them in verse. My hope is that my poems inspire others and reach them in a very special way.
