Summer Poem

June Haiku Poem

I love the different seasons of the year, this tiny haiku style poem is about the Full moon of June, as summer really kicks in and sometimes we even see a pink or reddish tint to the moon or halo, usually meaning it will be a hotter day ahead, and also shows the power of the moon to control the ocean tides, and the thrill of fishing on a hot summer day gives a lazy, carefree feeling and a delicious dinner if lucky, that seems like something to whistle about! For my husband and two sons!

Full strawberry moon,
ushers in hot days of June,
high tides fill the dune,

hot sun rising soon,
fishing in the afternoon,
whistling my own tune!
