The Late Hours

©

Published: August 2008

The sun had gone down.
Silent in my heart, peace in my soul;
Morning fog flakes, now dissipated,
Winds swept them to the unknown land.

Birds had flown west,
On their way to their only nest.

Orange curtains still covered heaven,
Blazing like a wild, hot fire.
The clouds had sunken into the oceans,
Forever gone...joy mourned.
