Romantic Poem

I wrote this poem the first time I fell in love with someone. I then came to know what love is and how it feels. I decided to write it down so I could express my views.

The Meaning Of Love

Published: August 2008

To love is to share life together,
to build special plans just for two,
to work side by side,
and then smile with pride,
as one by one, dreams all come true.

To love is to help and encourage
with smiles and sincere words of praise,
to take time to share,
to listen and care
in tender, affectionate ways.

To love is to have someone special,
one on whom you can always depend
to be there through the years,
sharing laughter and tears,
as a partner, a lover, a friend.

To love is to make special memories
of moments you love to recall,
of all the good things
that sharing life brings.
Love is the greatest of all.

I've learned the full meaning
of sharing and caring
and having my dreams all come true;
I've learned the full meaning
of being in love
by being and loving with you.

Love is a feeling that no one can deny. It is not something that anyone can touch but can see and feel. It is all about sharing and caring and loving.

Love is the thing that makes you feel like you are in heaven if the person looks at you. A second spent with you is like a year with you. Your love gives me strength each day, supports me, and fills me with pleasure, which illuminates my life. My heart won over any time you gaze at me. Your fixed looks drive me absolutely crazy. It is useless to try to leave without you because life is only meaningful when I am with you.

Love is the thing that keeps you up all night because you'd rather talk to that person than sleep. Love can be the best feeling in the world and also the worst. It can bring you higher than you've ever been, build you, complete you, make you. Or it can tear you apart, completely destroy you, make you question everything you know, keep you up at night and wonder where things went wrong. Love is wanting someone else's happiness more than your own. Love is sacrifice. It is respect and selflessness, forgiveness. Love is the thing that makes the world worthwhile, makes your bed seem so much lonelier at night, your days without them so much longer and your years with them so much shorter. It is the thing that makes you look at that person and think about how you've never seen something so perfect.

That is true. Everything you said describes the love I have. I had and still have someone who has done everything you said.

LOVE...What a word. Love is mutual respect, it's when you understand each other, when you connect two happy hearts. Loving someone means appreciation. Love can be expressed by many ways: supporting, encouraging, understanding. When we talk about love, we talk about the sensation that is infinity to reach...

Love means scratching each other's back. You scratch my back, I scratch your back. When you first meet the one you love, you can go to the extent of doing anything to be with that person. That is what I call love.

The first time I meet you, my eyes were always looking up to you. You then became my friends, my crush, my everything. Your smile made me blush, your personality was amazing. You stood by my side. You made me laugh, and sometimes you made me wanna cry. I forgave you because I loved you. The day I was going back home I really wanted to cry; I couldn't come to you and say good bye because I couldn't hold my tears, but finally I got your number. When you said you wanted to tell me something, I was worried. When you said you loved me, you made me so happy I said I love you too, when we started dating, you would share your most hurting stories about your family to me. You would always act stubborn, and that made me smile. Yu will always remain in my heart, in my mind, and in my you, Mihlali.

Love is tough. Love survives through the worst of situations, and thrives through hope. Even when things seem hopeless love will find it's way.
