I'm seventeen and I'm a mother of two. I wrote this poem because I wonder why I do what he wants but why can't he do as I want? Why doesn't he understand what I'm asking him for?

Why can't he see what I see?
Why can't he read what I read?
Why can't he love how I love?
Why doesn't he want me by his side?
Why can't he see that I need him?

I laugh at his crazy jokes.
I cry when he cries.
I'm there when no one else is there for him.
I do what I need to, to make him smile,
So why can't he?

I know how you feel. I'm only 18 and I have a 1 year old son. Me and his mother were having a lot of problems, and broke up.. But a week later, she called me saying she really messed up by leaving me. I like this poem because its all truth. If you are there for him, then why can't he be? My opinion, you should forget about him and look for someone who will care for you. :) Good Luck!
