Love Sonnet XI
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
Being in love is an all-consuming experience. It is exciting, thrilling, and a little terrifying to fall head over heels for someone. The passion between two people deeply in love burns like a wildfire. They only have eyes for each other, and everything else pales in comparison. Passion for a lover is expressed physically, but it can also be a strong emotional connection. The bond between two people madly in love with each other is not easily broken. It an intense and powerful force.

Until I met you my heart stood still
Like the moon and the sun
Their love is true
That's how I feel when I look at you
This is lovely and so true! It's funny how it can involve no thought, at all.
Underneath the moonlit sky, beneath a blanket of stars,
I lay with you in a land afar.
It's so quiet; all I can hear
is my breath I vaguely take with you so near.
Carnal apple, Woman filled, burning moon,
dark smell of seaweed, crush of mud and light,
what secret knowledge is clasped between your pillars?
What primal night does Man touch with his senses?
The Nymph that undoes me, is fair and unkind;
No less than a wonder by Nature designed.
She's the grief of my heart, the joy of my eye;
And the cause of a flame that never can die!
This poem touched my heart so deeply I can't even explain. It has left me at a loss for words. There is no greater poem than one that will touch you so deeply that it leaves you speechless....
