  1. 41. Autumn Memories

    • By ANANJO
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems November 2016

Out walking on a blustery autumn day, I saw a rose shedding its petals. It reminded me of tears falling and made me think about dreams and hopes fading when a relationship ends.

    The rose weeps a tear
For the close of the year.
    Leaves whisper the turn
    While bonfires burn

  2. 42. Autumn

    • By Ryan Larkin
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems October 2012

This poem was written quite a while ago now. I have had a couple of poems published in books, so I thought I'd share one with you. This poem is about Autumn, a time of year when everything goes from beautiful green, to a kind of dark and lonely season, with the horrible weather.
    Thanks

Descending leaves fall to the ground,
    Twirling, twisting, round and round,
    Autumn season is almost here,
The smell of freshness is oh so near.

I love this poem on autumn. I just wanted to share that autumn is my favorite of the four seasons. I love autumn because of the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. I love autumn...

  3. 43. Fall Time

    • By Anna M. Jordan
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems November 2017

My poem is about fall and all the things I like about this season.

Orange is the beautiful flowers, the rustling of the leaves, and the overwhelming feeling of happiness.
Orange is the taste of cooked carrots in a hot stew.
Orange smells like a fresh baked pumpkin pie and a crackling fire on a cold evening.
Orange makes me feel like fall is in bloom.

  4. 44. October

    • By JUPITER LANCLOVE
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems September 2019

I'm Jupiter Lanclove (that's my pen name). I'm just another teenage girl, maybe not so normal and extremely introverted. Writing gives me joy. I came up with this a few days back. Everyone has favourite months and seasons. Mine is October, the month of fall. It's about how autumn is a peaceful break. I have shared my feelings about the month and how the climate makes me feel full.

    Here it comes,
    the month of October,
    a quiet season for some,
yet it doesn't leave us somber.

  5. 45. Living Season

Autumn is such a beautiful season, and on a South African morning the golden colors of brown, red, and yellow are breathtakingly beautiful.

    Breathing autumn air
    amid rustling leaves...
    exhale.

  6. 46. Four Seasons

    • By Kevin Wong
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems May 2013

Time waits for no one. We simply make the most of what time we have as it cyclically passes by.

The leaves fall as a call to autumn.
The harvest ends and early snow comes.
The moon comes up, bringing the night as
Time rushes forward in hopes of sleep....

  7. 47. Welcome Fall

    • By Enia
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems October 2008

I wrote this poem because fall is my favorite season.
One day i watching the sun set and I saw what fall is really about.

    Fall has just begun
    As summer ends
The color of the leaves gleaming in the sun
    Jumping in leaves with friends...

  8. 48. Autumn

    • By Julie L. O'Connor
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems March 2013

Being From New England, I have always appreciated the beauty of Fall in all its natural glory. It is by far my favorite season, just one of many blessings God has given us here on Earth. If you haven't journeyed to New England in the Fall, my hope is this poem may inspire you to make the trip, you will not be disappointed.

There's a crispness in the air that greets the morning sun, a feeling of anticipation, a new day has begun.
Harvest days are ending, winter is drawing near, yet in between is surely the most special time of year.
They call it Indian Summer, and it seems to fit the bill, for it's as if the Lord took a feathered brush and painted all the hills.

  9. 49. Fall Has Arrived

    • By Lauren
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems October 2008

I had mixed feelings on this year's Fall, so one time I just mixed them all into one short poem. Fall is an amazing season, my favorite of them all. I absolutely love the changing colors, it makes this time of year almost like an artist that didn't like the colors in his painting so he painted over them with different colors, changing the scene drastically.

The gush of wind blew my hair,
Straight up to the unforgiving air.
Fall was peaking around the trees,
    Leaves would pile high, ...

  10. 50. Something Beautiful

    • By H. Sokolova
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems November 2008

This poem reflects my person perspective of fall. At first, I only see the negative: that summer has ended. But in time, I start focusing on the beauty of fall.

Watching the last of these days disappear
    feeling the air get colder
    seeing the world get darker.
Memories of lying on the grass...

  11. 51. The Fall

    • By Marla Wardell
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems October 2014

The poem is pretty self explanatory. Hope you enjoy.

    The abundant, redundant season.
Ushering in the winter, like an appetizer before the big meal.
Just a taste of what is to come.
    Beautiful and temporary.
