Spiritual Poem about Nature

Meditation, Memory And Mind Expansion

Some years ago I decided to join a meditation group especially run for carers, (actually I prefer the name caregivers), and I have formed a close spiritual bond with some of the other people who attend. The teacher who runs the group has opened my mind, and a recent meeting inspired me to write the following poem. I think there is something magical about the chanting nature of rhyme, and all the poems I've ever written are in this form.

A Meditation

Always, sometimes,
I remember, I remember,
The things I remembered,
And sometimes forgot.

The shining white daisies
Adrift in the twilight,
And glow-worms affirming
Each luminous spot.

A fast-running stream,
Its bridge curved above;
Soft blossoms perfuming
The rain-swollen sky.

And you and I high
On a crystal blue bubble,
A floating through space,
The angels close by.
