Poem About Wanting To See Grandma Again

The love I have for my Grandmother goes beyond the sea. Wishing she was here to love and hold me.

Gone On To Glory

Published by Family Friend Poems September 2014 with permission of the Author.

Four years ago you left this earth and went to Glory
Only, you and God shall share your story.

Life ain't been the same since June of 2006
Instead of you, it would've been me if I had to pick.

God knew you were ready to leave these troubles behind
Every time I close my eyes I see your radiant face as it shines.

If I could, I would turn back the hands of time
To hug you, to kiss you, and bask in your love is the wish of mine.

One day I will see your face again
Happy, excited, and free of sin.

It's only been years, but it seems like forever
Every day without you feels like stormy weather.

"Hey, Nanna!" Is what I always said when I stepped in your presence
But, "Bye, Nanna" is what I said when I heard you went to Heaven.

I will never stop loving you, though we are far apart
A Woman of God you are, and always in my heart.
