I'll Miss You Grandpa

It seems like just yesterday
we were laughing together,
joking around.
You called me your little buddy
'cause I was always by your side.
You said you'd live forever,
that I did believe
until one sad, gloomy day
I walked home from school
ready to go to your house
but there dad was crying.
I didn't think of it at the time.
He turned to me and said...
your grandfather has passed.
I cried for hours on end.
I didn't think I'd have to live a life without my best friend.
No more joking
or hearing his laughter,
no more going to the Dairy Queen while the tires were getting changed,
no more late nights watching TV,
no more of this,
no more of you.
All I have left is the great times I've had with you.
I miss you, Grandpa.
I'll never forget you.
