Journey

Daddy had waited for this day for almost a year,
as he sat there recollecting the day,
he was suddenly struck with fear.

"Will I have all the answers?
Will I know the way,
to teach her all there is to teach,
and protect her come what may?"

And I could see if from the moment he first saw you,
all the love he held inside.
I could feel the adoration,
the devotion,
the pride.

So as this journey begins for the two of you,
remember that he loves you and will always see you through.
