School Poem

Poem Of Teen Self-Acceptance And Identity

This poem is me, it's who I am, and only real friends accept that, I learned that lesson the hard way. I hope you don't learn it the same way

Me Is Who I Want To Be!

Published by Family Friend Poems May 2012 with permission of the Author.

School is meant to be sociable
Home is meant to be unnoticeable

School is a place to roam
Home is a place to be alone

School is me
Home is me

Don't catch me in-between
I can get very mean

My personality is not the same
Sometimes I feel my life is truly a game

It's not my fault at home I read
But at school I like to debate and lead

No one knows the real me
Some days not even me

So please don't try to change me
Because I am me and me is who I want to be
