The day you were born,
you touched my soul.
You were the missing link
that made my life whole.

Those beautiful blue eyes
stare at me in awe,
gazing at the woman
who just became your mom.

As days turned to months,
and months turned to years,
I watched you grow,
Facing life's challenges and fighting your fears.

Now that you're grown,
you take that next step.
Those years gone by,
in my heart they're kept.

If you get lost along your way,
not sure what to do or what to say.
Know that I'm present in spirit and soul
with open arms and a hand for you always to hold.

This is a beautiful poem. I'm the mom of 3. I have two grown daughters. They light up my world like they did when they were young. I'm blessed to have a grand-boy that I'm extremely close to. My heart, however, is broken. I lost my son 5 years ago this July 29, 2018. He was 28. A freak accident. He was my best friend. I miss him more every day. I was given the gift of spending the day with him and the next day he was gone. Although I hugged him and said goodnight, I never imagined it would be the last time. I have the memories like the ones in this poem. I'm no longer the same person. I never will be.

Awe, this touched me so much. My children were my life, and they are gone now. I have only 1 son now. Please pray for me and my children. This made me cry.

Certainly, the poem touched my mind very seriously, as the poet explained it very nicely and clearly. It tells about the natural love of mother and newborn child. The love that is not expressed by words but through the feeling, and this love is God gifted.
