Daughter Poem

To my daughter, Brooke, who's 14 tomorrow. She's having a tough time with her emotions and doesn't know or understand why she feels the way she feels sometimes. This is a little poem just to let her know that I'm here for her no matter what.

I don't know what you're going through,
But I hope you understand,
I'm just trying to be your mum
And give you a guiding hand.

I hate to see you crying,
Not even knowing why,
But I'm always here to listen
Until your tears run dry.

I wish that I could make you happy
All the times that you are sad,
To make you laugh and see you smile
And tell you life's not really bad.

You're my special "Little Girl"
Whom I love with all my heart.
I'm always going to be here for you
Just like I have been from the start.
