If my sister had lived, she would know
How hard it is to pass 6th grade
If we shared my room
I would teach her how to hide
From monsters in our closet
She would giggle at my jokes
And look up to me
And understand me
And I'd nickname her Kat
And we'd frolic in the pool together.

The place where Kat hangs out now
Has dolls everywhere
And cartoon network on every wall
Her pink satin paradise

When I sit in our room
And slip to the depths of our bed
I silently hope she sees my tears

I should promise something in dedication
For Kat's two years here
I promise to always remember her
And speak aloud in our room
So that she knows what I think
