Mental Illness Poem

I was thinking about life, it's all fake, plastic, pretending, it's just facts.

Living A Suicide

Published by Family Friend Poems October 2012 with permission of the author.

I can do nothing
Cause I'm good at nothing
I just sit and watch
As others succeed
I'm invisible, useless
I'm laughing, falling
I'm alive, dead inside
I'm everything I'm not
I'm not everything I am
Crashing, falling, slipping
On thin ice, that line broke
Real and human
Fake and broken
Fact of life: We all die
Live it happy, live it grand
Live it like a suicide
Every day I pretend
Fake that smile, bloody, dead
Doesn't matter, it's all just fake
It's all plastic, wild and dead
Living in a schizophrenic world
Plastic world, scary world
Dying young, living dead?
Lifeless body, it's all facts
I live in a suicide
