I've written this poem in loving memory of my uncle Cameron and for all those who have lost a loved one in their life.

Missing You...

Days have passed, months came, years are on their way.
How I wish you were still here with me today.
Thoughts of you linger in my head,
Wondering how life would be if you weren't dead.

They say time will heal all our pain.
Somehow it feels like my whole life went down the drain.

I still can't believe that you've gone so soon,
Leaving behind just memories of you.
I'll miss your smile, the one you'd always wear,
And your laughter and open arms you always shared.

You'll always be missed by your children too.
Don't you worry, we'll tell them all about you.
You can look over us from the heavens above
While we continue to share your love.

Days have passed, months came, years are on their way.
Even though you're gone, your love won't ever go astray!

My only uncle died yesterday night after battling with cancer for about 2 years, leaving behind all of us and his son of just 3 years. Wish he got less money but a long life. I just can't stop crying since yesterday night. Now I only have the memories with him! I know it's impossible, but I want him back anyway! My day can't end without being teased by him or without having a drive with him. Never wanted to post this! RIP. You will be missed by everyone, day and night!

My uncle died in 2012, when I was only 6. He loved me like I was his child. Every day he took us out. I came to find out he had lung cancer and he was in stage 4. Sadly, later he passed away. Eight years later, and I still cry myself to sleep because I miss him. Fly high.

My only daughter passed away 5/9/14. For some reason, God blessed me to see this poem in my email. 11/3 was her birthday. I got through some of the pain I feel, but every time I look at her pictures and touch her ashes, I feel said all over again. Reading this poem helped me today. It was just what I needed because she left a son behind.

My uncle died back in October 2016, and when I was reading this poem, it brought back a thousand memories. I try to keep the memories alive. When I read this poem, I couldn't help but cry because I thought of my uncle. I miss him so much. I miss my uncle Steve.

It's so difficult to lose the people you love, especially those who have known you your whole life. May your uncle rest in peace. Commemorating the people you love in writing is one way to preserve their memory forever.

It's almost like this occurred yesterday, but really it's been years and I still have an open wound , uncles are almost like fathers. Sometimes I wish it were me and not him , but time will pass by. To everyone reading this , this is a beautiful poem, very touching. May all your uncles rest in peace.
