Memories Of A Mother's Love

My mom passed away when I was in the 3rd grade. I was only 9 years old. I miss her very much, and writing this poem in her memory makes me smile, and I know she will be proud of me for writing this.

You were always a great person
a great person indeed
You were always there
whenever I was in need

You raised me up
in a big, safe world
I'm glad I had the chance
to be your little girl

You always had a smile
on your beautiful, warm face
God did the right thing
by taking you to a good place

Even though I miss you
and we grow farther apart
I will always have a place for you
right here in my heart
