It's Time To Go Home

Soft unspoken words whisper in our ears
As we listen to music and rough house.
Playing games that neither will ever win.
"It's time to go."
But I don't want you to leave.
Time flies when we're together;
But it stops when we touch.
Slow subtle movements into my room.
You pick up your hat.
You pick up your ipod.
Your eyes meet mine and my heart stops.
"It's time to go."
Closer and closer we stand.
Every time she repeats these words.
"Don't leave me."
And you take my hand.
"Never."
Our hearts now synchronize.
Thoughts whirl like a crazy tornado through my mind.
Let's run away. Let's leave. No, let's stay. Together. Always.
I can feel your heartbeat. Our chests so close.
Hugs that I never want to walk away from.
Our fingertips touch. And your eyes sing a lullaby to mine.
I can't look away.
"It's time to go."
We look at the clock.
Nine thirty.
We take a long look at each other.
And I embrace your sparkling eyes one last time.
Our faces get closer and I can feel your warm breath on my cheek,
"I love you."
My heart murmurs and I am overcome with butterflies.
Our lips crush together one more time.
In that second I could swear that only for a moment
Time slows down, maybe even stops,
So that the angels may give us that much more time together.
And that is our gift.
And that is our blessing.
And that is our love.
"I love you too."
And you take my hand as we walk to the door.
"It's time to go."

I just started going out with this guy....and he treats me better than any of my past boyfriends have....we have hung out a lot and really gotten to know each other and the other night he was at my house and this is basically what happened.....he didn't want to leave and I didn't want him to leave either but when it came time for him to go he said he loved me and that he would text me as soon as he could which was not exactly 5 minutes after he left my house
