Aunt Death Poem

Poem About Memories Of An Aunt

I loved my Aunt Mabel so much. She called me every day after my stepdad died suddenly in 2011. She was a very poised and polished woman. She dressed exquisitely and was beautiful inside and out! She eased a lot of the anxiety of missing my stepdad. She was very encouraging and inspiring. I miss her dearly and will continue to love and cherish her memory forever! May she rest in peace!

Sunshine Of You That I Saved

I thank you for the kind words and for being that beautiful you,
For listening to my side regardless of whatever you had to do.
Thank you for the gifts of love and for going out of your way.
Thanks for that great "just us girls" day.
I miss your calls,
I miss your smile.
Your laughter still rings clear.
As I type this and remember your kindness,
I am reminded that your spirit is still here.
There are no words that I can conjure,
write, or even say
to convey
how much I am missing you today
and every day.
So I will remember your smile with happiness
and treasure the love you gave,
and on a rainy day
I'll open up
the sunshine of you that I saved.
