I see the way you look at me; it starts a flutter in my heart.
I feel the sadness, confusion, and pain throughout my every vein,
Even though we're worlds apart.

I hear your voice; it comforts me. It's like a work of art.
I taste the emptiness of you leaving, even though you were never mine.
I can't smell your cologne; maybe it's time I broke apart.

Using all my senses, I realize you're not a part of me,
And even though I'm about to cry,
I think of your smile and whisper, "Goodbye."
