  1. 41. When You Feel Like You Can't Go On

This is how I feel every day, and I can't seem to talk about it; it's easier to write it in a poem style. Thanks for reading.

  5. 43. Stay Strong

I'm 16, and every day I face depression and suicidal thoughts... I didn't know what to do anymore, besides take the broken glass and cut. I hate how am I, so I went back to my counselor and told her how I've been doing. I told her the truth...hopefully it helps.

  7. 45. Sweet Agony

This poem is about my struggle with depression and self-mutilation. I have been fighting for 5 years and this is how it feels sometimes. I really hope I can relate to someone and help them know they are not alone, even though it is extremely easy to feel like you are.

  8. 46. Traffic Light

My mum helped my brother through his fight with a brain tumor for over 18 years. When he did pass, she felt life wasn't worth living without him and went into a spiraling depression. No one knew what to say to her other than the usual things to support someone you love. So I thought I'd try to write what she was feeling, and I gave it to her to let her know I understood.

  9. 47. The Demons And Me

Some things in life just can't be explained. The pain and sadness a person truly feels inside is unique, and although we try to understand, we never truly will. This poem was written about a traumatic experience in my life that has consumed 15 long years and counting. Sometimes it's just not possible to move forward.

  11. 49. Do You Know

I wrote this after my husband of 10 years decided that he did not want to be a "Husband." We have a terrific 7 year old son who has been handed something that I, at 38, do not yet know how to handle. I do my very best, for my very best (my son).

  12. 50. The Ending Start

Hi. My name is Ethan Wulf. I'm chronically depressed from the death of my mother and grandfather, who was my only father figure, and I'm a very discontent person. But I try not to complain because I know nobody likes a complainer. I'm 17 and I'm sick of high school. I'm sure we've all been there, right kids? Well, I'm not much on introductions. If you really actually care to get to know me and about me, just read my poetry. Thanks for your time.

I've written everything I have to say,
But the words, they rot and fall away.
So with a hole in the bottom, I'm stuck in the same boat as before
And slowly sinking just in sight of shore.

  13. 51. Feel Again

In the poem the author delves into introspective contemplation about his own emotions and the longing to experience them fully once again. Through his observations of others living their lives, he wonders why he feels disconnected and how he arrived at this point. Memories of past emotions flood his mind as he sits in the shadows, pondering the possibility of feeling again.

I wrote this poem a little after reading some on this site. As I read through all the poems about others suffering from depression, as I am, I wrote this both as an outlet and as a way to give people a look into what it's like to live every day with depression.
