A Girl's View

Everyone tells me I'm gorgeous
That I have stunning features to die for,
But I must have gone blind,
Because I can't see them anymore.

When I know they're being honest,
I still think it's a lie,
I look into the mirror
I'm so ugly I want to cry.

I see a disabled person,
Or someone who's lost their arm or knee,
I see much potential in them
But can't see it in me.

Why is it my vision is impaired?
And I can't marvel at what others view
Why do I contend with myself
And see so much beauty in you?

I feel this so many times. People tell me I'm pretty but I don't believe them. I truly feel like the ugliest girl in my grade. Everyone else is so beautiful and I know that they don't feel pretty either. But still it just makes me feel so bad when people tell me I'm pretty, I just feel guilty.

I feel like this all the time. All I do is hate what I see in the mirror it's kind of really hard to feel like I'm beautiful.

this is SO fricken true!!! all girls believe it and its so much like how we think. It's not right to me. It's so wrong!!! Why can't this change?? This is like pure torture for a girl, especially if she is left by a boy for another girl, the girl thinks she's lost her beauty
so wrong!......
