Hi, my name is Alyssa. I'm 15 and I wrote this poem for my friend Michael. He was like a brother to me, and I miss him a lot. He got killed when a bad storm hit and a tree fell on his house and landed in his bedroom and killed him instantly. He will always be missed.

I miss you so much
You don't have a clue
You were like a brother
now my heart is in two
I think about you constantly
can't get you off my mind
I understand it was destiny
but you were so sweet and kind
I know you're in a better place
but yet my heart keeps crying
you were so sweet and innocent at time
and inside my body is dying
but I know I'll have to move on
because it is what you would want
you would want me not to cry
but to be happy and live a wonderful life
and I'll always remember that place where you lay
and hopefully I'll see you
on my very special day

This really sums up how I feel I just lost my friend today, she went missing 3 weeks ago and they found her this morning dead hanging from a rope, I am always going to remember her, so I know how you feel, she was my best friend and my sister.

I really love your poem it reminds me so much of my best friend Brandon he was always there for me and would give you the shirt off his back if you asked be he couldn't deal with watching his mom die so he took his life.

This really touched my heart, I lost my childhood best friend and miss her everyday. It's hard for me to remember her but all I know is life would be so different if she hadn't had to go. Maybe I wouldn't feel so lonely and empty inside but she had to leave like everyone else does.

I never got to say goodbye and I pray and hope everyday that God might let me see her again even for a second just to tell her I love her
