He had a hand on the door to my heart
Little did I know the other was on a cord that would rip me apart
When I was down
He said he'd always be around
But now-- I'm here
And sadly, he's nowhere near
It took me years to build the wall
He so easily made fall
I used to speak of him with pride
Now it hurts just to hear of his hide
Once close, now far apart
Because he wanted a brand new start
Which means him leaving me behind
And me trying to push him out of my mind...

I can’t believe my only friend would do this to me. It was the only friend I thought would never go behind my back. I’m still shocked. I don’t have many words at this moment. I’m just trying to make sense of what happened. Betrayal quotes I had screenshot are making sense now. I’m questioning loyalty of everyone around me because my childhood friend went behind my back and backstabbed me. The biggest betrayal comes not from your enemy but your closest person.
