Mother Poem

A Mother's Pricelessness

I wrote this to portray and appreciate my mum - not that I nor my siblings would ever really be able to. Thinking of all she's done over the years, I love her now more than ever.

She's Our Hero

She does her battles quietly,
For her kids, on her knees.
Spending many sleepless nights,
So our lives can be with ease.

She takes on our troubles,
While leaving her own behind.
In the midst of stress and strain,
Will still manage to be kind.

She is a calming presence,
For acquaintances far and near.
Will be sought to settle issues,
Whenever hot tempers flare.

She is that ray of sunshine,
Making our home bright and warm.
She is that steady anchor,
When life seems a raging storm.

Easy strength runs in her frame,
Tenderness, within her core.
No matter how little she gets,
Always giving more and more.

She never needs a sidekick,
Fancy clothes really aren't her thing.
But mummy is a superhero,
A magnificent human being.
