The Loner

There you sit
At an empty table
They call you "The Loner"
The word's just a label

Why do they say that?
You're human, like me
If I can see that
Why can't they see?

I walk over to you
Wearing a smile
"I'll sit here with you,
At least for a while"

And things have changed
A loner no more
'Cause you're my best friend
Now and evermore
