I Will Miss You

Published by Family Friend Poems October 25, 2022

A fun and loyal friend to me,
a friendship made to last,
family ties from long ago,
shared memories of the past.

We talked of many things
we wouldn't tell another soul,
shared in our joint pleasures,
gardens, dogs, a gentle stroll.

You really were a good hostess,
lovely food, such happy times,
you never, ever seemed to age,

Your soft and gentle voice
easily turned to laughter,
your kind and caring voice
comforting when asked for.

I will miss you day by day,
I still want to ask you round,
life will never be the same
now that you have gone.
