All things happen for reasons she said,
Then gently kissed me on my head,
Please don't rush to get old, she cried,
Truly that was once she had not lied,
Quite sad, her wisdom knew no bounds,
Yet my foolish ears refused the sounds,
Of a mother's advice for a wonderful life,
Instead choosing the road of fools and strife.
