Bullying Poem

This poem is about the people who mock and gossip about the one person who they could pick on and not get in trouble. Say what ever they want, and she acts like she doesn't care. Won't tell a soul. And how this person actually feels inside.

As They Mock Me As I Sit Here

©

Published: July 2009

They mock me as I sit here,
They mock me in my sleep,
With their makeup and boutique,
They mock what I do, say and like,
I don't mock them,
I just sit here quietly,
Bottled up like I should be,
And how I look like to them, me and the mirror,
I don't tell a soul,
Don't express how I feel,
As they mock me as I sit here.

It helped me with an assignment where I had to write a metaphoric poem that touched on something in our society. It helped me focus on what I needed to say about a very serious problem in our society today...Thank you for the help
