Angel Of Endearment

On the 22nd day of April
It was a shocking day!
Five and a half months of pregnancy,
Ended the wrong way.

She was scared, helpless,
And afraid for her life.
As the doctors took her out
With a surgical knife.

She weighed 2lbs and 2.5 oz
Sick as can be.
All that the doctors could say,
Was we'll just have to wait and see.

Now she's home healthy and strong.
For GOD answered the prayers,
That brought her this far along.

When Samantha was conceived,
She was made with LOVE.
For GOD chose two special people,
To raise an angel from above.

This is really weird in a sense. My daughter was born April 22 2011, I was 5 and a half months pregnant as well. She weighs 1 lb and 6 ounces and was 12 inches long at birth. It has been 3 weeks almost and she weighs 1 lb and 13.6 ounces and is 12 and a quarter of an inch long. This poem touched in a way that nothing has in my life before. you just gave me everything I needed to get through this hard time. you gave me strong hope that my daughter will be fine and make it, and I thank you so much for writing this because you just touched my life. :)

This poem is very true. this touches my heart because I was born after five and a half month of pregnancy. me and my two sisters-3 lb 13 oz combined. we were tiny and I was the sickest. but I'm 14 now and it's all good. just like your daughter I'm living and loving life and almost everyday I think about why I was the preemie to survive, when so many don't.
