Looking at the calendar,
Today brings a tear to my eye,
Along with all this pain inside
That I am not ready to let resign.
You always liked your birthday,
You were like a kid inside.
Now we celebrate with root beer
To help keep your memory alive.
I really, really miss you.
Skyla does as well.
She always talks about you;
I'm glad she has stories to tell.
I know you're with Uncle Ronnie.
I know you guys too well.
You're probably stirring up all kinds of trouble,
And giving your dad lots of hell.
So on this day that I miss you,
I also want to wish
A Happy Birthday to you,
With lots of love just for you.
Happy Birthday, Dad!
