Bullying Poem

I just started middle school this year. I am learning a lot about myself and about people. I don't know why people want to hurt other people? Every one is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses. I try to help people with their weaknesses instead of make fun of them. And I admire people for their strengths and also for how much they try to overcome their weaknesses.

What Makes You Do This?

Published: March 2011

Every day,
They call me names.
I don't want to lie,
Sometimes I cry.
I know it hurts,
But I will survive.
Why would you do this?
Make me wish,
That someday you will go away.
Are you jealous?
Are you insecure?
Does this make you want to hurt me more?
I know
That when I go home,
My family loves me and my friends support me.
I am not worried about me.
Nobody should be.
I am worried about you.
What makes you do this?
Make people wish,
That someday you will go away.
