The haunted glaze over my eyes has become an all too familiar sight.
It reflects the emptiness inside of me, my soul's plight.
There's total darkness now when everything was once bright.

You always put a smile on my face,
no matter how mad I was.
All I had to do was call you and you would make everything better.
The day that I heard that you were taken from us, my heart broke.

I dropped down to my knees and cried and cried.
All I wanted was for one more day with you.
As I sit here at your grave looking at your picture.,
All I want to do is hug you and laugh with you and play basketball with you.
I miss you so much; we all do,

This earthly world can bring

I took your love for granted and put you off

One day your smile had faded away,
I still remember how I felt that day.
Your warmth and comfort that was always near,
Your life and joy seamed to disappear.
You took your last breath
To end your suffering,
If I said it hadn't affected me,
I'd just be bluffing.
If I could change everything,
You know I would.
I would change it for you.
I know I should,
But what if the sadness I had infected everyone else?
What if like a disease it spread all about?
Maybe I wouldn't do it.
It would just be greedy.
I'm sorry if I sound so desperate and needy,.
You have to see this is hard for me to get through.
When every friend I had had was you.

Take me with you!
