I'm so tired of this empty feeling.
I'm so tired of being alone.
I lay here staring at the ceiling,
Waiting by the phone.

I jump when the phone rings.
It brings a smile to my face.
When he hangs up my heart stings,
And I sink back into my lonely place.

I wish and I dream
That we'll be together soon.
I can't wait until we can look up hand in hand
At the stars and at the moon.

I yearn for his kisses
His touch - his embrace.
I can't wait for Thursdays
When I get to see his face.

I'm flooded with thoughts of him
In my heart, soul, and mind.
I imagine his touch,
So gentle and kind.

I try not to weep.
I hope he doesn't hear my cries,
But I can't stop the tears
Falling from my eyes.

I cry a thousand tears
And think - how much more can I take?
But in my heart I know I'd wait a thousand years
All for love's sake.

Listen to my heart as it screams your name.
Look into my eyes as you fix the pain.
Kiss my lips and let's disappear.

My toes hanging off the side

All I hear is his voice

Leaves
I hit the ground
Which seems to materialize underneath me
And for months I lay there
Broken
Hurt
And crying
People try to help me up
But I don't let them
All I can think of
Is him
How could he make me fall for him
When he had no intention
Of catching me

Then you come along
You mend my brokenness
And help me to my feet
And before I know it
I'm on top of the building again
And yet again
The wind blows
Trying to push me off the edge

I try to back away from the edge
But something stops me

I picture the times we've talked for hours

Sometimes I feel as if it was bad to fall in love at first sight,

Overall, I understand we will have some ups and downs,
But despite the doubts I have and bad times we go through, I appreciate the love we have now.

makeup, clothes, and the style.
There are secrets hidden
under that big phony smile.

Inside, my heart
is thundering like a storm,
and if I were to break,
it'd come pouring like a swarm.

I dwell where it's dark,
wet, and cold,
and I think many thoughts
that nobody knows.

Then there's that one person
who in my soul can shine a light
and discover all sins
hidden in my eyes.

He comforts, he cautions,
and I say, "Don't tell."
He is the one who knows me,
the me under the Shell.

I was never looking
for another half
to make me whole,
just someone
who was willing
to walk with me
no matter how far
I strayed.
