For standing by me through thick and thin,
For not giving up on me when I didn't win,
For your patience when I kept pushing you away,

For caring when I said I didn't need you anyway.

I am grateful knowing...
I can count on your strength,
Ask for your support and know you'll go to any length.
When I lose my way,
You help me get back on track.
When in pain,
Your comfort soothes and brings me back.

I am lucky because...
When I was sad, you gave me faith and hope.
When I was confused, you taught me how to cope.
When I felt I couldn't go on,
You carried me long miles.
When I didn't believe,
You restored my smiles.

Mom, thank you...
For your guidance and the faith you've shown,
For giving me a safe place where I have grown,
For showing me how to strive.
Because of your love,
I will survive.

So much out there for her to see!
I'd like to take her in my arms
And show her the world and all of its charms.

Most days I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs.
I want my mother back; who is this monster you have become?

I really haven't known who you are for quite a while,

Most days I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs.
I want my mother back; who is this monster you have become?

I really haven't known who you are for quite a while,
But I try to act tough, so I force this fake smile.

You love someone else way more than me.
Her name is Crystal Meth, and I don't think she'll ever set you free.

She's had you in her hands for about 10 years,
But all of those years are nothing compared to my fear.

Fear of you lying,
Fear of you dying,
Fear of having so much faith in you and just being left crying.

You wrote me letters from prison and promised the sky.
More than 3 years later and nothing but lies.

Nothing but heartache, pain, and misery...
I GET IT NOW; you chose her over me.

You've told me to my face that it was drugs over me.
Even that wasn't enough to make me see.

Today you will tell me that you are clean.
You give me so much hope, then tomorrow it's the same ole' dope phen.

I'm telling you now that I am through with you.
This comes from my heart and every word of it is true.

I can't promise that I will be around to see,
But when you get tired of that meth, you will see.
All along you had something way better,
And it was your family.

I do thank you so much for one thing.
Thank you for showing me how important a good mother should be
And to never show my children the pain that you showed me.

So, today I officially set myself free
Because I know there's a stronger woman in me.

Poem From Mom Who Wants Her Daughter's Love

I remember the good times
that we once had...
but still my life
is oh...so sad

I remember the good times
that we once had...
but still my life
is oh...so sad

I try to look forward,
but my mind goes back...
because a piece of the glass
on our portrait is cracked.

I try so hard to protect the glass.
I won't let it shatter...
Because you and your love
are all that matters.

My family is all
that means anything to me.
Still...everything always
gets blamed on me.

This happens to moms
all over the world.
We're supposed to be perfect;
we learn this as girls.

I have never been great
or the "best of moms"...
And at times I've failed
by the things I've done wrong.

For those things, I am sorry.
I didn't want you to cry...
but please remember
my eyes are not dry.

I hope you can find
our love that seems lost.
For the mistakes I have made
came at a very high cost.

A piece of my life,
is missing and gone.
And everything feels
Oh so wrong.

But there is one thing
that I can do.
I will try to be strong
just for you.

One thing I feel
down deep in my heart.
It's my love for you.
I guess that's a start.

You have a new son
now growing inside.
And I hope that you feel
each of his kicks with pride.

You will feel love
like never before.
It is your family
you will completely adore.

It's a new beginning.
you will forget the past.
It completes you as a woman.
It will be "love at last."

I look at my child as she looks at me,
And into her eyes I look and I see
The innocence that fills her unspoiled soul.
These moments I wish I could treasure and hold.

But my baby is growing, and influences are strong.
I hope she remembers the right from the wrong.
I've tried hard to instill these virtues inside,
But regardless, she still fills me with happiness and pride.

The job of a Mother can be very hard.
With tears full and plenty, your heart can feel scared.
When you look at your baby filled with happiness and glee,
No better reward for a Mother can be.

As hard as it is or as it can be,
I'd never trade this experience for anything, you see.
The innocence she holds she has passed on to me,
And a much better person she's helped me to be.

But little did I know, my child,

I held you and I raised you,
kissing life's pains away;

Tomorrow, my dear
As you walk down the aisle
With cheer in your heart,
And that million dollar smile

My own smile will hide
A few tender tears
Wrapped in memories of
Your wonder years

A gush of nostalgia
An emotional swirl
Engulfs me as I reminisce
About my little girl

It's hard not to go down
The memory lane
... Sprinkled with acres
Of sunshine and rain

You were a bundle of joy
With curly locks,
Who enthralled the family
With her baby talks

You unified my fragments
Into a whole
We became two bodies
Wrapped in a soul

Our bond, our connect
Was hard to define
