If you see my dad in Heaven
He won't be hard to find.
He'll be the one to greet you first,
For he's a one-of-a-kind.

If you see my dad in Heaven

For he's a one-of-a-kind.

He'll be the one with the softest voice,
A veteran's cap upon his head,
Or he's probably in God's beautiful
Garden, with a shovel in his hand.

He'll be watching the pretty hummingbirds,
A warm smile upon his face,
And as he leaves to go about, he'll
Be walking with strength and grace.

He'll sit among the story tellers,
For that's what he does best.
He will tell about his life on earth
Before he was called to rest.

He's with his Mom and Dad now,
Embracing them tenderly.
Never no longer to miss them or
Wonder where they might be.

He may be playing with the children,
And there sits one upon his knee
Laughing and singing the games of fun,
Clapping hands so joyfully.

Now if you haven't found my Dad yet,
He's probably kneeling by the throne,
Surrounded by God's angels,
Praying for his loved ones below.

He wasn't famous in this world
Nor did any heroic deeds.
He was a strong, hard-working man,
Taking care of those in need.

For you see, he was my hero,
Bigger than big to me.
He taught me all a son should know
And about the love God has for me.

So if you see my Dad in heaven,
Tell him I'm doing fine.
Let him know how much I miss him,
And I think of him most of the time.

You know he was my hero,
So will you give him a hug or two?
Tell him how much I love him and
I'll be seeing him someday soon.

No matter what happens in my life,
Sorrow or joy, rain or shine,
Whatever befalls me, it's all right
Because in Jesus I abide.

With His presence, He shelters me
From many dangers all too real.
Like a lamb, He carries me

To Jesus I can always turn
And find solace in His Word.

Have you seen the doctors who hardly get to sleep?
From sad weary eyes, silent tears they weep.
They're battling to save hundreds of lives,
Yet see so many dying right before their eyes.

Have you seen the doctors who hardly get to sleep?
From sad weary eyes, silent tears they weep.
They're battling to save hundreds of lives,
Yet see so many dying right before their eyes.

Have you seen the nurses, tired and worn,
Just come from doing many hours on the wards?
Have you seen them out, walking on lonely streets
Searching empty shelves, for nourishing food to eat?

Have you seen domestics, putting safety first
Keeping hospitals clean, fighting off the germs?
Bravely they go into infectious wards,
Never thinking of themselves, no not at all.

Have you seen the porters, down on their heels,
Walking many miles, pushing many wheels?
We must respect this valued band of women and men.
Though they go unnoticed, we can't do without them.

Have you seen the caterers, keeping all folk fed?
The staff and the patients lying in their beds.
Such an important part to play in someone's health,
A role that couldn't be compared to any amount of wealth.

A great big thank to all National Health Staff
To every volunteer coming forward like they have.
You all have a part of our hearts, are in every prayer we make.
May God bless you all, keeping you well and safe.

I felt like I was falling
Off of a very steep cliff
And I just kept on tumbling
Into an unknown abyss

I felt like I was falling
Off of a very steep cliff
And I just kept on tumbling
Into an unknown abyss

I fell deeper and deeper
And into places never known,
But my fall would teach me something
That I had yet to be shown

I know the words of the Lord,
So forgive I always do
And it was never hard for me
Until it came to you

We should always be forgiving
And we know why this must be
Forgive so that we can be forgiven,
These are familiar words to me

Where mercy is given,
Mercy will be shown
But put through such a fall
Is something I'd never known

I loved you and feared you
And it was hard to live that way
But I patiently waited on God
And He finally made a way

The hate that consumes you,
It runs incredibly deep
And I was terribly hurt
Falling from this cliff so very steep

But now I have forgiven you
Free from the fear in which I was kept
Taught to forgive in a deeper way,
By God's love that has greater depth

The years have passed by
In the blink of an eye,
Moments of sadness
And joy have flown by.

The years have passed by

People I loved
Have come and have gone,
But the world never stopped,
And we all carried on.

Life wasn't easy,
And the struggles were there,
Filled with times that it mattered,
Times I just didn't care.

I stood on my own,
And I still found my way,
Through some nights filled with tears,
And the dawn of new days.

And now with old age,
It's become very clear;
Things I once found important
Were not why I was here.

And how many things
That I managed to buy
Were never what made me
Feel better inside.

And the worries and fears
That plagued me each day,
In the end of it all,
Would just fade away.

But how much I reached out
To others when needed,
Would be the true measure
Of how I succeeded.

And how much I shared
Of my soul and my heart
Would ultimately be
What set me apart.

And what's really important,
Is my opinion of me,
And whether or not
I'm the best I can be.

And how much more kindness
And love I can show
Before the Lord tells me

Where I'm surrounded by colours, an amazing sight,
And a beautiful Angel holds me in her arms.
I feel safe and happy, contented and calm.

Where I'm surrounded by colours, an amazing sight,
And a beautiful Angel holds me in her arms.
I feel safe and happy, contented and calm.

"I'm so joyful to see you, now you've come home.
Please don't be afraid for you're never alone.
You are supported by angels in this heaven above,
Each one with open arms and bundles of love.

Maybe you think you've come home too soon,
But it was in your plan, for you have lots to do.
Now you've returned to renew your task.
Allow me to guide you, that's all I ask.

You never need miss those you left behind,
For you are able to visit, just open your mind.
They may not hear you or see you close by,
But you will be there with every tear that they cry.

You can go where you chose; you don't need to walk.
Just think yourself there, you'll arrive in a thought.
You'll never get weary, grow old or feel pain.
You can run, jump and skip, again and again!

Wander freely through fields, with animals galore,
Yes even lions, stroke their mane, they won't roar.
Every bird that you see will come sit on your hand.
You can pet them all freely; now isn't that grand?

You may pick all the flowers your arms can hold,
Our blooms live forever; they never grow old;
Just bend down and listen to their music so sweet.
They sing as you nudge them with your hands or your feet.

Pick fruit from the trees, enjoy as much as you like.
There's a never-ending supply; go on, take a big bite...
Worry not that the juice drips through your fingers.
It all returns to source, no mess, nothing lingers.

Now come on, let's go; there are friends to be found.
Just think of your loved ones and they'll all gather round.
They've been waiting eagerly for you to return,
Excited to hear everything that you've learned."

So it seems we're all destined for God's promised land,
Where angels gone before us just wait to take our hand.
With guidance and with comfort they help us on our way
So we can live in peace and love, enjoying every day.

And if you couldn't walk or talk, or you'd sadly lost your mind,
Have no fear, it's all restored; you leave all that behind.
The Lord repairs your body, returning it to new,
No sign of any illness, just a happy, healthy you.

I'm seeing so much beauty in this land beyond the veil,
Where you suffer no more ailments and all are looking well.
Please don't be sad or grieve for me. I'm never on my own.
Just remember I'll be waiting when it's your time to come home.

Imagine if I was given one moment,
just a single slice of my past.
I could hold it close forever,
and that moment would always last.

I'd put the moment in a safe,
within my heart's abode.
I could open it when I wanted,
and only I would know the code.

I could choose a time of laughing,
a time of happiness and fun.
I could choose a time that tried me
through everything I've done.

I sat and thought about what moment
would always make me smile.
One that would always push me
to walk that extra mile.

If I'm feeling sad and low,
if I'm struggling with what to do,
I can go and open my little safe
and watch my moment through.

There are moments I can think of
that would lift my spirits every time.
The moments when you picked me up,
when the road was hard to climb.

For me to only pick one moment
to cherish, save and keep
is proving really difficult,
as I've gathered up a heap!

I've dug deep inside my heart,
found the safe and looked inside.
There was room for lots of moments;
in fact, hundreds if I tried.

I'm building my own little library,
embedded in my heart,
for all the moments spent with you
before you had to part.

I can open it up whenever I like,
pick a moment and watch it through.
My little library acts as a promise;
I'll never ever forget you.

Sometimes I feel lost in a maze of emotions,
where every direction feels like a dead-end street.
I feel so alone in my search for an answer
that I start to blame God for not meeting my needs.

Sometimes I feel lost in a maze of emotions,

But God never promised that life would be easy,
for trials will come in different forms.
But He did promise that He would never forsake us
and that we can still have peace in the midst of the storm.

God's love runs deeper than the deepest ocean,
but He is not altered by the moods that we bring.
For every problem, He has a solution.
He is consistently working behind the scenes.

So whenever you feel like you're losing the battle
and you want to just bow your head in defeat,
remember, with God you are always the winner,
for with Him by your side, you will never be beat!

I lie here awake, afraid to sleep.
I've prayed the Lord my soul to keep.
My stocking is hung on my bed,
Really brother's long sock instead.

But Mum said it would do for now
As she kissed my cheek, kissed my brow,
She tucked me in on Christmas Eve
When I was young and still believed.

Was that a footstep on the stairs?
My brother's snoring really scares.
Will he get down that chimney tight?
Will I get my first glimpse tonight?

I lie awake, for ages and ages,
Skimming last year's Beano pages,
Under my blanket torch alight,
Getting sleepy, losing the fight.

Woke next morning, screams of glee.
Missed him again; how could that be?
A bulging sock suspended there,
An apple, an orange, maybe a pear.

Cadbury's chocolate! What a delight!
Three new pennies: shiny and bright,
A piggy bank with its own key.
It wasn't much but meant all to me.

The front room always looked divine,
A roaring fire, the smell of pine,
Tinsel draped on the real fir tree,
Foil wrapped chocolates just for me.

Silver baubles' reflections revealing,
Paper chains strung on the ceiling,
Needles dropping on linoleum
Swept up daily by tidy Mum.

Lone present 'neath the Christmas tree,
Wrapped really well, was that for me?
This was as good as it could get,
I've got a new Meccano set.

Ripped off wrap all over the floor.
One present each, but that was more
Than we could expect; times were hard,
Some mates didn't get a Christmas card.

So ten young children eat the grub
Which cooked while Dad was at the pub.
He'd already had a drink or two,
But then, it was his holiday too.

Poor Mum would have to slave away,
No fun for her on Christmas day.
Times were tough, yes, I agree,
But at six years old, it worked for me!

For I'm no perfect man,
And on my own cannot prevail.
Sometimes doing the best I can,
Even will seem to no avail.

Had my share of heartaches,
Sometimes wondering to what end.
Made my share of mistakes.
Over this, I can't pretend.

The struggles may increase,
But it's no cause for alarm.
God's thoughts to me are of peace,
To nurture and not to harm.

I forge on quite resolved.
God's at work in me for the best.
I am flawed but fiercely loved,

And how does one live a life

To keep their love strong?
And how do some couples
Always feel like they belong?
What do you need to do
To stay in love forever
And make each day special
And grow fonder together?

Well, these very questions
You must address every day.
You must take the time
To go out of your way,
To always share love
And always share laughter,

To live happily ever after.

Here is a recipe
I think is a must,
So let's begin with
Always having trust.
Don't forget it's important
To have total respect,
And to always stay loyal

You must communicate
Each and every day.

You must never forget to say,
"I love you." It's amazing
How these words make you feel
Happy, safe, and valued,

Love Found And Then Lost

Some people search their whole life through,
Most never find it, but then some do.
You may not know it when you see it,
But you will know it when you feel it.

Some people search their whole life through,
Most never find it, but then some do.
You may not know it when you see it,
But you will know it when you feel it.

What is it that eludes most everyone,
That's more precious than diamonds or gold?
What it it that men would die for,
But could never be bought or sold?

If you've been lucky enough to find it,
You will know exactly what I mean.
If you are still looking for what I found,
Don't ever give up on your dream.

I found someone having looked all my life.
I found she was hiding in plain sight.
If ever a love was meant to be,
It was the day that she found me.

Almost at once we knew it was true,
Our heads said no but our hearts said do.
So the two became one when no one could see it,
But we knew we had something because we could feel it.

True love for each other was what we had found.
Our lives became one, forever bound.
Her daily smiles, the touch of her hand.
Without saying a word, she made me her man.

And then suddenly one day our dreams were lost.
Our good times were gone like the sun on the frost.
Without her consent she faded away,
With only our eyes talking until her last day.

As she laid on her bed, her hand in mine,
She and I knew it was her time.
Her eyes were closed until her last breath,
Then she opened them wide as to say goodbye and she left.

So when my time finally comes,
I can look back and honestly say,
I got to experience, if for a short time only,
What it was like to be loved by my one and only.

What a pathetic girl, staring back into the mirror.
What a timid girl, overcome by fear.
What a shell of a girl, locked up inside.
What a forgotten girl, pushed off to the side.

What a pathetic girl, staring back into the mirror.

Lord, why did You call me to do these things for You?
Do You really think this is something I could make it through?
These expectations You've given me, I cannot live up to
Lord, why did You ever call me to be a servant for You?

Tears spring into my eyes as I stare at my reflection.
Guilt takes control and yells with expression,
"What a coward! What a waste of time! What a weak and useless failure!
How is God going to use you?! You will only ruin your future!"

"That. Is. My. Child," booms a voice from above.
"That is my precious daughter, whom I deeply love.
She is an empty vessel for My power and glory.
She is a broken girl whom I will give a beautiful story."

Jesus turns to me and takes the mirror from my hand.
"You're looking at the wrong reflection, that's why you can't understand."
He hands me a cup, full of red blood.
"This is how I see you, My child, saved by My love."

I look into the cup, full to the brim
I look at my reflection, then back up at Him.
I shake my head. "How could You love me this much?"
"My daughter, that is grace, and it is more than enough."

"I supply your every need.
Your help is found in Me.
I empower the fearful,
And I strengthen the weak."

"Go and show My children they are loved by Me.
Listen for My voice, trust in My peace.
Do not worry over the future,
And never believe you are a failure."

Then I fall on my knees and cry,
"I think I finally understand why.
Lord, here am I, send me.
Oh, thank You for helping me to see
I am precious, I am loved.
With You, I will always be enough."
